Platedex: License Plate Game

About

Platedex is the license plate game for the whole car. Someone spots an out-of-state plate, you tap it, and it lands in your sticker book. That is the whole loop — one tap, no forms, no accounts, and it works with no signal at all. Every plate is worth points by distance. From Ohio, a Pennsylvania plate is a Common +1, Texas is Rare +5 and California is Legendary +9, because the further a car drove to pass you, the rarer the catch. Tell Platedex where home is once and it scores every sighting for you, with rarity stickers from Common to Legendary. Prefer the classic version? Switch to one point per plate and play the way your family always has. Play as one team, or race each other. In Team mode the car shares one collection and every plate counts once. In Race mode each player keeps their own list, so the kids can chase the same California plate and the scoreboard settles who is winning. Tapped the wrong tile? Undo it in one tap. Someone else called it first? Reassign the sighting from the spot moment. Each road trip is its own game. Start a trip, spot plates for a weekend or a whole summer, end it with a summary of plates, points, the winner and the rarest catch, and it stays in your history to reopen any time. Meanwhile your all-time collection grows across every trip: see how many of the 50 states and DC you have ever spotted, which ones are still missing, and light them up on the map. Everything above is free forever: the whole US checklist, Distance scoring and rarity, Team or Race with up to three players, trips, the all-time collection and the map. Platedex Plus is a single one-time purchase with Family Sharing, no subscription, and adds the Canada, Mexico, US territories and Europe plate sets, room for four to six players in one car, side-by-side comparison of two trips, and CSV export of your sightings. Platedex was made for family road trips, long drives, carpools and commutes: no ads, no sign-up, nothing leaves your phone. Location is optional and only used, if you turn it on, to remember where you spotted each plate.
