The Medjugorje Peace Chaplet, guided one prayer per screen, with a count of consecutive days. FIVE MINUTES The sign of the cross, the Creed, and then seven times the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Glory Be. It ends with the sign of the cross. Nothing else. It is prayed on ordinary rosary beads or on your fingers: no special beads, and nothing to learn by heart. ONE PRAYER PER SCREEN You never have to look for what comes next. Twenty-one prayers, seven sets, and seven beads at the top of the screen that fill as you go. THREE WAYS TO PRAY • By tapping — you advance with a button. • Listen to my voice — the microphone follows your recitation, the text lights up word by word and the screen advances on its own. • Pray with me — the app's voice reads aloud and moves to the next prayer after the last word. Speech recognition happens entirely on the device: the audio is never recorded and never sent anywhere. THE DAYS IN A ROW The app counts the consecutive days on which you have prayed. There is no finish line to reach, and it never ends. A day counts once: with a five-minute prayer you may well say it more than once, which is good, but the day stays one. If a whole day passes without praying, the run starts again from zero. THE SILENCE When the chaplet ends, five minutes of silence follow — shorten them or turn them off in Settings. At the end the voice says Amen, and it is heard even with the ringer off and the phone in a pocket. Today's chaplet is already recorded when the silence begins: leaving early does not cost you the day. TWENTY TO SEVEN In Medjugorje the evening rosary begins at 18:00 and the apparition to the visionaries comes around 18:40. The daily reminder starts there, and can be moved to any hour: the run counts the day, not the time. FORTY LINES ABOUT PEACE At launch the image of the Queen of Peace appears with a line taken from the messages published from Medjugorje, and the date of the message beside it, so anyone who wants to can go and read the whole text. It changes every time you open the app. THREE LANGUAGES Italian, English, Romanian. The language of the prayer is independent of the language of the menus: if your phone is in English you can pray in Italian without changing the menus. FOR TIRED EYES Text enlarges across three levels on top of Dynamic Type, there is a light and a dark theme, and every screen is read by VoiceOver. NO ACCOUNT, NO SERVER Everything stays on the device. No sign-up, no sync, no advertising, no analytics. The app works with no connection at all. The prayers follow the liturgical translations in use. On 19 September 2024 the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith granted the nihil obstat to the devotion connected with Medjugorje: it recognises the spiritual fruits of the place and does not declare the apparitions supernatural.
