About
Gas Bottle Match answers one question, in one screen: will this bottle connect to that appliance? PICK TWO THINGS, GET AN ANSWER Choose the fitting on your bottle, choose what you are trying to run, and the app tells you whether they meet — and if not, whether an adapter fixes it or whether nothing will. THREE ANSWERS, NOT ONE They connect. Only with an adapter. Or they do not meet at all — and the third one matters, because the 21 mm and 27 mm clips are deliberately incompatible. Propane and butane run at different pressures and no adapter exists for a good reason. THE FITTINGS, EXPLAINED ACME with its hand-tight nut and thermal shutoff. POL with its left-hand thread that tightens anticlockwise — the reason people round off perfectly good fittings every year. Clip-ons, European screw threads, Australian Companion, camping canisters. WHAT NOBODY TELLS YOU AT THE COUNTER An exchange cylinder is usually filled to around three quarters, because swap schemes fill conservatively by weight. Refilling gets you closer to full for less money. And cylinders expire — the date is stamped on the collar. WORKS OFFLINE No account, no signal. Fittings and regional conventions change, and a bottle bought abroad may not match. Always check the collar markings and your appliance's instructions, use the correct regulator, and leak-test with soapy water before lighting. If you smell gas, leave and call from a safe distance.
