PHASE Connect is the phone companion to PHASE, the TrevBeats Multimedia DAW for Mac. CONSOLE — RUN PHASE FROM YOUR PHONE Pair once with a six-digit code (Wi-Fi, or USB-C hotspot when Wi-Fi is flaky). Then drive the session from anywhere in the room: tape-style transport, bars/timecode, loop, click, count-in, tap tempo, undo/redo, save. Banks of eight mixer strips plus MASTER — faders, pan, mute, solo, arm, live meters. KIT — MIC THE KIT Light the drum pieces you're micing and hit APPLY. PHASE builds the DRUM SOUND group to exactly that set — kit-law EQ and compression, armed and ready to track. STUDIO — A POCKET RECORDER THAT NEEDS NO MAC (in-app purchase) Eight audio + eight MIDI tracks to start, growing to 16 + 16, on the phone's own engine — the same engine PHASE runs on, so a session tracked here IS a PHASE session. A real track view: waveform blocks, MIDI note blocks, a take that draws itself while you record. Sessions save themselves and reopen where you left off. • Record with the phone mic, a USB-C interface, or Bluetooth. Every track keeps its own INPUT: mic type (Condenser / Dynamic / Ribbon) with three voicings each, or GUITAR (Bass / Electric / Acoustic) with amp-ready voicings, gain, monitor, low-cut. • LATENCY compensation reads what you're listening on and pulls the take back in time when you monitor on AirPods. • TRACK FX on every track: compressor (light / medium / tight), reverb (room / plate / hall) and tempo-synced delay, plus a safety limiter on the master. • IMPORT backing tracks. MIX with banks, master, meters, mute/solo. • Change the KEY and TEMPO of any backing track — pitch in semitones, follow the session BPM. • STEMMINGWAY LITE: export a stereo mixdown or stems (24-bit / 48 kHz WAV). • SEND TO PHASE: the whole session as one file — every track, take, sample, kit, patch and setting opens in PHASE 13.1 on the Mac exactly as it was on the phone. PLAY — REAL INSTRUMENTS UNDER YOUR FINGERS BASS, KEYS, DRUMS and SAMPLER on the MIDI tracks. The keys and basses are real recordings, multisampled with velocity layers: a Yamaha C5 grand PIANO, RHODES, CLAV, drawbar ORGAN, STRINGS, BRASS, PLUCK, BELLS, PAD, SYNTH, LEAD, a TX81Z FM EP; a fingered Jazz Bass, PICK, UPRIGHT, SLAP, SYNTH BASS and a real TR-808 for 808 — plus SUB, REESE and ACID synths. Two octaves of keys on iPhone (three on iPad), sixteen pads, or plug in a USB-C / Bluetooth MIDI controller. Non-destructive quantize per track (1/4 to 1/32, triplets). DRUMS ships with the WELCOME PACK stock kit; trim any pad's start and end, load your own samples, save your kits. The SAMPLER chops a loop across the pads and syncs it to the session tempo. ARM + REC and the performance lands in STUDIO — every MIDI lane shows the instrument it records, and the CLICK metronome (with count-in) keeps you in time. The same instrument bank ships inside PHASE 13.1, so a session you send to the Mac opens on the identical sounds. Requires PHASE 13.1 or later on the Mac for CONSOLE, KIT, SESSION and opening SEND TO PHASE files. STUDIO and PLAY work offline. Universal — iPhone and iPad.
