PNG Background Eraser

About

Cutaway removes the background from any photo in seconds — right on your device, no uploads, no waiting. Tap a subject to cut it out, then drop in whatever you want behind it: a solid colour, a custom gradient, another photo, or a scene generated entirely by AI. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Instant subject cutout — on-device technology finds the subject and lifts it out, no manual masking • Replace the background — colour, gradient, photo, or AI-generated art • Generate backgrounds with AI — free with Apple's Image Playground, or connect your own OpenAI or Gemini key for more control • Add a natural drop shadow that follows the subject's real edge, with softness, opacity, and offset you control • Reposition and scale the cutout to fit exactly where you want it • Export as PNG with transparency, JPEG, or HEIC, at full resolution or a size you choose • Save straight to Photos or share to any app • Keep every edit as its own project in your library — rename, revisit, and pick up where you left off • Light and dark themes with a few accent colours to make it yours PRIVACY BY DESIGN Background removal happens entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly choose to generate a background with your own AI provider key — and even then, only your text prompt is sent, never your photo. Whether you're prepping a product shot, making a sticker, building a thumbnail, or just having fun, Cutaway gets you from photo to finished cutout in a few taps.
