Suzuri is a quiet ledger for goals you finish, not streaks you defend. Give a goal a sheet, twenty-one days or sixteen sets, and lay a mark each time you do it. The sheet fills. When it is full, it is finished, and you choose whether to begin another. THE SHEET Every goal runs on a fixed number of squares. Some you fill yourself, one for each time you do the thing; others fill on their own as the days pass, and your job is to keep them clean. Nothing here runs forever. A sheet ends, and ending is the point. THE MARK One mark, one square. If you slip, the slip is recorded and never erased. A record you can trust means more than one that looks flawless. Missed the ledger rather than the practice? Lay the mark on the day it actually happened. THE SEAL A sheet finished clean earns its seal; just one small stamp that means finished. THE IMPRESSION Finished sheets are kept as impressions in a bound album, the imperfect runs included. Add a private note to any sheet: a line about how that run actually went, for your eyes only.
