TankTide Water Lab is a free, offline aquarium service workbook built around traceable records—not generic tank tracking. Keep a system passport, run a guided water-test bench, link maintenance to before-and-after readings, and create a clear handover without an account or subscription. BUILD A SYSTEM PASSPORT • Record system type, volume, location, commissioning date and access notes • Keep equipment and inhabitants context with the system • Add only your own target bands; TankTide supplies no default safe ranges USE A TRACEABLE WATER-TEST BENCH • Record the sample point and context • Capture test method or device, reagent/calibration lot and expiry • Store multiple measured results on one bench sheet • Add observation notes and an evidence reference • Compare values only with target bands you created LINK SERVICE WORK TO EVIDENCE • Create completed maintenance-run worksheets • Link optional before and after bench sheets without changing either original • Record work performed, completion observations and evidence references • Schedule optional local reminders from your own service plan PRESERVE AN APPEND-ONLY LEDGER • Keep bench sheets, runs and incident observations in one chronology • Correct a record by appending the original value, corrected value and reason • Never silently overwrite completed evidence HAND OVER OR RESTORE WITH CONFIDENCE • Build a readable service handover for a chosen coverage period • Include the passport, tests, runs, incidents and corrections • Export the complete schema-2 workbook as JSON • Validate format, schema and fingerprint before a restore changes local data • Existing TankTide 1.0 data migrates locally into system passports, bench records, reminders and observations EVERY FUNCTIONAL FEATURE IS FREE System passports, target bands, tests, methods, lots, incidents, runs, reminders, the ledger, corrections, handovers, export and validated restore are available without purchase. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, trials or paid-only tools. TankTide is supported by conservative advertising. A labelled banner stays outside record editors. App-open ads start only after the first session and are frequency-capped. An optional rewarded ad changes the temporary Lab Light colour accent only. It unlocks no functional feature. There are no interstitial ads. IMPORTANT RECORDING BOUNDARY TankTide Water Lab records user-entered observations and user-owned target bands. It does not diagnose aquarium conditions, determine safe ranges, recommend dosing or treatment, or assess species compatibility. Use suitable product instructions and qualified aquatic expertise when making care decisions.
