About
Catch pitches that do not belong in the intended instrumental part before rehearsal, orchestration handoff, or playback delivery. MIDINote Range Audit reads Standard MIDI File headers, tracks, variable-length timing, running status, note-on and note-off pairs, channels, velocity, program changes, and ticks per quarter. Assign a practical range—such as flute, clarinet, trumpet, strings, voice, or full MIDI—to each detected channel. The range rail shows observed notes against allowed territory and marks exact outliers. Channel cards report average velocity and peak polyphony. The event list identifies pitch, track, channel, onset, duration, and velocity for every flag. A separate Integrity workspace reports unmatched note-on and note-off events so file damage is not confused with orchestration choice. Export a designed PDF decision sheet or a CSV ledger containing every parsed note and its assigned-range verdict. Instrument ranges are practical references, not a substitute for performer, transposition, technique, or orchestration judgment. Everything runs locally. There is no account, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or Gobling Company server upload.
