Measure the effective resolution of raster image placements inside a PDF before print, archive, client delivery, or production handoff. RasterProof PDF QA reads image XObjects and placement transforms locally. It reports pixel dimensions, placed size, horizontal and vertical effective DPI, page, resource name, bits per component, color space, encoding filter, and soft-mask presence. Use the proof board to see the minimum-DPI gate and resolution bands. Review every placement, filter by gate, inspect deterministic facts, and find sub-150 DPI blockers, sub-300 DPI review items, or possible oversampling above 600 DPI. Create a named multi-page PDF audit and an RFC 4180 CSV placement manifest. Saved proofs remain on device so you can duplicate a revision, add job notes, compare a later file, or delete the audit. Effective DPI is pixel dimension divided by placed dimension in inches. RasterProof reports resource math, not subjective sharpness, color accuracy, PDF standards compliance, print approval, or output-device acceptance. Some complex PDF content can require visual verification in the intended production workflow. Everything runs locally. There is no account, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or Gobling Company server upload. Files leave the app only when you choose a destination through Apple's share sheet.
