PatchBay Signal Flow is a paid, local-first planning and audit desk for studio, live sound, broadcast, and installed audio signal paths. Build reusable plans from microphones, preamps, interfaces, converters, consoles, recorders, and other devices. Define ports with direction, analog or digital format, connector, nominal and maximum level, impedance, balance, phantom-power state, sample rate, and clock role. Connect ports with named patch cables, gain, length, and enablement. The Flow canvas makes the complete route visible. Patch Matrix exposes output-to-input crosspoints. Gain Structure calculates delivered nominal and maximum levels, available headroom, and impedance bridging for every handoff. Audit checks direction, format compatibility, overload risk, impedance ratio, phantom-power safety, and digital clock agreement before equipment is connected. Export a complete plan as structured JSON or a route ledger as CSV. Save multiple plans locally, edit devices and patches, and duplicate an entire plan as a revision. No login is required. The app has no subscription, in-app purchases, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, audio recording, network scanning, AI processing, or developer-operated backend. Calculations are planning aids; verify manufacturer limits, wiring, grounding, phantom-power behavior, and clocking on the actual system.
