About
DMX Patchbook is a paid, local-first universe and fixture addressing console for lighting designers, programmers, electricians, production managers, touring crews, theatres, houses of worship, and event technicians. Build a show across up to 16 universes. Patch each fixture by unit number, type, mode, channel footprint, universe, start address, position, circuit or node port, and production note. DMX Patchbook calculates inclusive address ranges, maps all 512 channels, measures universe utilization, and immediately identifies overlapping footprints or fixtures that leave their universe. Use Next Free to place a fixture into the first available contiguous block sized for its footprint. Reopen private show files from the on-device library, switch between universes during load-in, and share a concise handoff containing addresses, modes, positions, circuits, network notes, and any unresolved collisions. No login is required. The app has no subscription, in-app purchase, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or developer-operated backend. Show and venue data remains on your device unless you explicitly share a text handoff.
