Every backgammon app says its dice are random. This one lets you check. Before the first roll of a match, Backgammon Trainer shows you a hash of the secret that every roll in that match comes from. The whole sequence is generated once, from that secret, and it is never regenerated, so the app physically cannot look at the board and choose a die. When the match ends you get the secret. Re-hash it and it must match what you were shown. Replay it and it must produce exactly the rolls you got. You can do both inside the app in one tap, or export the proof and check it with your own tools. Then it tells you what you actually did wrong. THE COACH Finish a match and every decision is reviewed. You get your performance rating, the number serious players use, plus your error rate split between checker play and cube handling. The report leads with your three worst decisions: the roll, the move you made, the move that was better, and exactly how much equity the difference cost you, with a plain sentence explaining why. Cube decisions get their own section, because that is where most rating quietly disappears. Take points and cash points are computed from the Kazaross-XG2 match equity table at your actual score, not from a rule of thumb, so the advice at 2-away 4-away is the advice for 2-away 4-away.
