MIDIKid

About

MIDIKid is a playful synthesizer designed to make creating music immediate, visual, and fun. Kids can choose sounds, layer them together, play the keyboard, and shape their music using an expressive XY pad. There are no complicated menus or intimidating synth controls standing between the player and the music — just touch, listen, experiment, and create. MIDIKid is designed especially with young musicians in mind, but it’s just as much fun for adults who want a simple, hands-on instrument for experimenting with sound. FEATURES • Play sounds directly from an on-screen keyboard • Explore sound with an interactive XY pad • Choose from a collection of sounds • Layer sounds together to create new combinations • Colorful, approachable interface designed for hands-on music making • Great for musical exploration, experimentation, and creative play • No musical experience required Whether you’re making strange new sounds, building a favorite combination, or simply seeing what happens when you move your fingers around, MIDIKid encourages curiosity and creativity. Music doesn’t have to start with lessons, rules, or theory. Sometimes it starts by touching something and discovering that it makes a really cool sound.
