About
Nestled in the heart of Waterloo Park, the Waterloo Tennis Club is a unique member-owned, non-profit organization with a proud history dating back to 1915. For more than a century, the Club has provided a welcoming community for tennis players of all ages and abilities. Our diverse membership includes juniors, adults, seniors, families, university students, and competitive players. While membership offers the greatest access and benefits, the Club is also open to the public through guest play, court rentals, lessons, clinics, and seasonal programs. During the summer, players enjoy access to 12 courts: six year-round indoor hard courts beneath our dome and six outdoor Har-Tru (green clay) courts from May through October. A practice wall is also available for individual training. Beyond the courts, members can relax on the wrap-around balcony overlooking the courts and Waterloo Park, socialize in the upstairs lounge, or take advantage of our shower and locker facilities. The Club offers year-round organized play, including round robins, clinics, a singles ladder, and social events for every skill level. Members looking for more competition can participate in summer inter-club leagues featuring mixed, men's, and women's doubles, as well as the annual Club Championships held each September. Our coaching team comprised of TPA-certified professionals offers lessons for juniors and adults. The junior program is built on Progressive Tennis, using age-appropriate courts, equipment, and lower-compression balls to help young players learn, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of the game. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by a dedicated management team and staff, the Waterloo Tennis Club is committed to providing an exceptional tennis experience and fostering a vibrant community for all seasons, all ages, and all levels of play.
