Nagori is a camera that keeps the sound from around the moment you pressed the shutter, together with a single still photo. ■ It is already listening Most apps have you pick a photo and then hit record. What you get is a voice explaining the picture. Nagori holds the last five seconds in your device's memory from the moment you open the camera. Press the shutter and the five seconds before and the five seconds after become one recording. So what you keep is the laughter before anyone posed, the middle of a sentence, waves, rain, a train, a street, a festival, a dog — the air of the place itself. All you press is the shutter. ■ A photo stays a photo Nothing becomes a video. Your library is a set of still photographs. The sound only rises when you touch one. ■ Nothing is kept unless you take the photo This is how it is built, not a promise we ask you to trust. The sound being held is never written to a file. Close the camera without shooting and it is gone. It never records in the background, and never outside the camera screen. When it is listening, it says so. No photo and no sound is sent to any server. There is no account.
