About
Asteroid Drift is a momentum-driven arcade survival game about flying a small salvage ship through a busy asteroid belt. Your ship keeps its momentum, so you steer by leading it rather than steering it. Drag anywhere on the field and the hull eases to a stop under your finger instead of overshooting, which makes threading a gap between two tumbling rocks something you can actually aim at. There is no shooting. The whole game is reading the field, choosing a lane, and deciding whether the shiny thing two lanes over is worth the detour. SIX SHIPS, EACH FLYING DIFFERENTLY Every hull trades the same four numbers, so a ship you learn tells you something about the rest. The Needle is small enough to slip through gaps that would clip anything else. The Hauler is heavy and grips hard when you want the field to stop sliding out from under you. The Falcon is fast and floaty, the Raptor stops on a coin, and the Wobbler is quick and slippery. FOURTEEN KINDS OF SALVAGE Ration pods and scrap bolts keep the score ticking. Gold ingots, data cores, plasma orbs, and alien eggs are worth chasing across a lane. The Ring Relic is the rarest find out here and pays eight times a common star shard. Every kind you recover is marked off in your manifest. A PRIZE EVERY FIVE PIECES Salvage is not just points. Every fifth piece you bring aboard earns a prize on a repeating ladder: a hull shield at five, slow motion at ten, a tractor magnet at fifteen, and a bonanza at twenty that shields you and doubles what everything is worth for eight seconds. Random supply drops hand you one of the same four prizes on their own clock, the first within three seconds of launching.
