About
Becoming Australian should not have a paywall in front of it. So this app does not have one. It is free. There is nothing to unlock later, nothing to subscribe to, and no ads. No account, no sign-up, no email address. No analytics, no tracking, no data collection — the App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, and it reads that way because nothing is collected. Everything runs on your phone and works in aeroplane mode. That is the whole arrangement. Here is what is in it. THE PASS RULE, MODELLED PROPERLY The test is 20 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes. To pass you need 15 out of 20 — AND all 5 Australian values questions correct. Both. Miss a single values question and 19 out of 20 is still a fail. Most apps never mention it. This one scores you under the real rule, every time. EVERY ANSWER SHOWS ITS WORKING All 427 practice questions quote the exact sentence from the official study booklet that makes the answer correct. You never have to take an app's word for it — you can check it yourself, on every question. Three answer options each, the same as the real test, not four. EVERY WORD READ ALOUD, IN AN AUSTRALIAN VOICE Not your phone reading the screen. 1,435 recorded clips, close to three hours: every question, every note and all 477 flashcards, read by a real Australian voice. The audio ships inside the app, so it works with no signal at all. Tap Listen, follow along, pause when the train gets loud, pick up where you left off. The real test offers text-to-speech in the room, and most people sitting it are studying in a second language. That seemed like reason enough to record the lot. WHAT'S INSIDE • 427 practice questions across all four testable parts • Full test simulation: 20 questions, 45 minutes, scored under the real dual-gate rule • Assisted Test mode with the 90-minute allowance • A dedicated Australian values drill, because that is where people actually fail • 31 notes covering the whole testable section, with photographs and a map • The official glossary of 50 terms, in the book's own words, plus plain-English explanations and worked examples • Timed sprints for each of the four parts • Spaced-repetition flashcards • Progress tracking per part and per topic, so you know what to drill next • A test-day countdown • Adjustable text size, dark mode, and the lot working offline WHAT'S NOT INSIDE No ads. No subscription. No trial that becomes a bill the week after your test. No locked half of the question bank. Nothing sitting on a server with your name on it, because nothing leaves your phone and you were never asked for a name. Free because that is how a citizenship test welcoming people to become Australian should be. Good luck. Go and pass it. NOT AN OFFICIAL APP This app is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs. The questions here are practice questions we wrote from the official study booklet — they are not the questions used in the real test, and nobody outside the Department has access to those. Any app claiming otherwise is claiming something it cannot have. Study content is derived from Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond (testable section), © Commonwealth of Australia 2020, Department of Home Affairs, used and adapted under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode The material has been modified — the questions, options, explanations and design are our own. The Commonwealth Coat of Arms is excluded from that licence and is not used in this app. The Australian Aboriginal Flag was designed by Harold Thomas. The official free resources are the Our Common Bond booklet, the Our Common Bond podcast, and the practice test at citizenshippracticetest.homeaffairs.gov.au — always check immi.homeaffairs.gov.au for current requirements.
