About
Tally keeps the one record you have never had: your own. It logs your shifts automatically as you arrive at and leave work — no timers, no punching in. On payday you photograph your paystub, and Tally compares the two, line by line, showing where they differ and which rule explains it. WHY THIS EXISTS Almost every time-tracking product is sold to the employer, and records what the employer wants recorded. When those are the only records, you have nothing to check them against. Tally belongs to you. IT LOGS ITSELF • Arrivals and departures captured by geofence — not continuous GPS, so it costs very little battery • Your week at a glance: hours worked, premium hours earned, and an estimate of what you have made • A shift missing an end time stays out of every total until you set one. It will never guess IT SHOWS ITS WORK • Every hour is bucketed by the rule that governs it — daily overtime, double time, the seventh consecutive day • Every figure cites the statute behind it, so any number can be traced • Federal rules everywhere; California and Texas have their own. When a state is not covered, Tally says so instead of implying coverage it does not have IT ASKS RATHER THAN ASSUMES Tally is deliberately cautious. Location can show you were on site; it cannot show whether you ate at your desk. So it asks — and "I don't remember" is a perfectly good answer that simply leaves the item out. Anything it cannot settle becomes a question, never a claim, and never reaches the headline figure. It also never tells you a difference means wrongdoing. There is often an innocent explanation, and Tally puts that next to every line. What it means is your call. A RECORD YOU CAN HAND OVER When you need it, Tally produces an evidence-grade PDF: the full ledger with its provenance, the comparison line by line, every statute cited, and the version of the rules used. It is designed to be read by a payroll manager. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Your shifts, your workplace locations and your paystubs stay on your device. There is no account and no server. Paystubs are read entirely on-device. PAY ONCE Logging your hours and seeing the difference are free, always. One payment unlocks the PDF record, past pay periods, multiple workplaces and pattern history. Tally is a personal record-keeping tool, not legal advice.
