About
PlasticOS is the plastic surgery residency curriculum as an atlas you can actually search. 86 procedures, broken down the way a senior takes you through them: the anatomy you must know before you scrub, the pre-operative assessment and what an abnormal result means, every operative step with its technical pearls, the hazards at each step with how to prevent them and what to do if they happen, donor site management, post-operative monitoring, and the reported outcomes. Every procedure carries its primary reference. Millard on the rotation-advancement cleft lip. Furlow on the double-opposing Z-plasty. Ramirez on component separation. Phalen on the carpal tunnel. You are never asked to trust the app — you are told where it got the claim. CONSULT Ask a clinical question and Consult searches the atlas for you. "Venous congestion in a free flap." "When is a DIEP contraindicated." "Flexor tendon zone 2 repair pearls." It returns the passages that match, grouped by procedure, each with its citation. Consult writes nothing itself. It does not compose an answer, it finds one — so there is nothing for it to invent. And if the atlas has no passage for your question, it says so plainly instead of showing you the closest weak match. THE CURRICULUM 122 topics organised PGY-1 through PGY-6, following the structure of a plastic surgery residency: fundamentals and wound healing, skin grafts and local flaps, craniofacial, cleft, hand and peripheral nerve, breast, trunk and lower extremity, burns, microsurgery and free tissue transfer, and aesthetic surgery. Case studies, emergency protocols, clinical decision algorithms, layered anatomy visualisations, and a spaced-repetition review that schedules topics by how well you actually recalled them. IT WORKS OFFLINE, COMPLETELY Every word and every figure ships inside the app. There is no download, no loading spinner and no account. On a night float with no signal, in an OR corridor, on a plane — it behaves exactly the same. That is also why it collects nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no server of ours. Your progress lives in the app's private storage on your device and is never transmitted, because there is nowhere for it to be transmitted to. The trade-off is honest and worth stating: progress does not sync between devices. PLANS Free covers the PGY-1 fundamentals and six core simulations, permanently, with no time limit. Resident opens the full 122-topic curriculum and 50+ procedure simulations. Fellow adds every simulation, including advanced microsurgery, plus the decision algorithms and layered anatomy. Lifetime is a single purchase of everything in Fellow, including future content updates. Resident and Fellow come with a 7-day free trial. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS NOT PlasticOS is a study aid for surgical trainees. It is not a clinical decision tool and nothing in it should be used to guide the care of a real patient. Clinical practice varies by institution and by patient, and the responsibility for any decision remains yours. Built by a plastic surgeon. SUBSCRIPTION AND LEGAL Resident and Fellow are auto-renewable subscriptions, offered monthly (1 month) and yearly (1 year), each with a 7-day free trial. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
