About
Jambolaya is one app with more than 140 games: board games, card games, puzzles, brain games, word games and quick arcade games. Play alone, against the computer, or with family and friends in the same room, each on their own phone or tablet. Screens often keep us apart, even at home. Jambolaya uses them to bring people together. Play together, right where you are • One person creates a group and shares its short code. Everyone else joins with the code. • Up to 7 devices in a group. Card tables seat up to 7 players. • The devices connect directly to each other. No internet, no Wi-Fi network and no accounts needed — on a plane, at the beach, or at the kitchen table. • Not enough people? Add computer players to fill the empty seats. • Everyone sees menus and games in their own language, so a grandparent and a grandchild can play together in different languages. More than 140 games • Board games: Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Dominoes, Reversi, Four-in-a-Row, Snakes & Ladders, Chinese Checkers, Mancala, Go, Nine Men's Morris, Yacht, Farkle and many more. • Card games: Hearts, Spades, Bridge, Gin Rummy, Rummy, Crazy Eights, Go Fish, Old Maid, Euchre, Whist, President, Durak, Scopa and many more. • Solitaire and puzzles: Klondike, FreeCell, Spider, Mahjong Solitaire, Sudoku Duel, Nonogram, Jigsaw, Tangram, Pipes and more. • Brain and word games: Word Search, Anagram Twist, Word Ladder, Code Breaker, Math Sprint, Odd One Out and more. • Reading practice: letters, sounds and words, with a font option that keeps look-alike letters apart. • Quick arcade games: Pool, Air Hockey, Darts 3D, Bowling 3D, Mini-Golf 3D, Carrom and more. Easy to learn, easy to read • "Learn to play" lessons teach almost every game step by step, on the real board. You make the moves yourself. • "How it works" shows the whole app in a short slideshow, with read-aloud. • Big, clear pieces and cards. Settings add extra letter spacing and an easier-to-read font, and the reading games can show bigger letters. • 10 languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Italian and Portuguese. Free, with no ads • Every game is free to play alone and against the computer. No ads, no account, no sign-up. • Creating, hosting and joining a group is free. In a free group you can play Tic-Tac-Toe, Checkers, Crazy Eights, Tower Stack, Cannon Battle, Odd One Out and Word Search together — at least one of every kind. • "All games hosting" is a one-time purchase that opens every game in the groups you host. Only the host needs it: everyone who joins plays every game for free. Your privacy • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • Nothing you do in the app is sent to us. Your progress and settings stay on your device. Good to know • How many players a device can host depends on its hardware. Newer devices host more; a few very old devices can only join. The app picks a safe number for your device by itself. • "All games hosting" includes games we add later. We may update games, and we may retire a game for legal, licensing, technical or safety reasons. If we retire a game, we will add a comparable new game in its place. Questions?
