About
KilnSlate is a private, offline pottery firing ledger for iPhone and iPad. Keep the facts of studio work together without an account, subscription, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud dependency, or required internet connection. • Record pieces, quantities, clay snapshots, notes, and stage events • Build reusable clay, glaze, and kiln libraries • Create glaze test tiles with ordered material layers and copy them for a new trial • Arrange pieces and tiles on named kiln shelves, then lock the recorded load when firing begins • Record actual peak temperature, atmosphere, witness-cone observations, and observed outcomes • Search factual history and review counts of active pieces, test tiles, completed firings, and pending outcomes • Preserve audit history when facts are voided or restored • Export readable text or RFC 4180 CSV and create checksum-verified backups with preview, merge, replace, rollback, and recovery Your ledger and backups stay on your device unless you explicitly export them. Optional feedback sends only the message, contact email, diagnostics, and screenshots you choose—not your pottery ledger. KilnSlate records values and observations you enter; it does not control a kiln or provide firing, material, ventilation, fire, food-contact, or occupational-safety advice.
