Photograph an item from more than one side. Add up to 4 photos — the base, the back, a maker’s mark — and Attic looks at them together. When Attic suggests another photo, the new one joins the ones you’ve taken — no starting over. Cloud space now counts items, not photos: all of an item’s photos take one place. If one doesn’t finish uploading, Attic sends it the next time you open your attic. Fixed: on first launch, Attic could say it couldn’t reach your attic while it was still setting up. It now waits until it’s ready.

About

Attic tells you what an old thing is and what it might be worth. When a photo isn't enough to price it, Attic says so instead of handing you a number — and, when another photo would help, what to photograph. Your collection is saved to your account, and the whole list exports as a spreadsheet. Point your camera at a clock from your grandmother, a camera in a drawer, a box of toys from the attic. Whatever it turns out to be stays in your collection, so you never have to wonder twice. WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT Attic will tell you when it doesn't know. A number looks like an answer, even when nobody has one. Nobody — not us, not anyone — has reliable sale prices for most antiques and collectibles. So when a photo genuinely isn't enough, Attic says so, and tells you exactly what to photograph next to narrow it down. A wrong number is worse than no number. WHAT YOU CAN DO · Photograph an item and get an identification: what it is, roughly when, what it's made of, any maker's marks · Add up to 4 photos of one item — the base, the back, a maker's mark — and Attic looks at them together · See an honest value range — with what that estimate actually rests on · Correct anything. Your estimate always wins over ours · Swap an item's photo without redoing its estimate · Record where you keep it, so you can find it again · Search and sort your whole collection · Export everything as a spreadsheet WHAT IT'S GOOD FOR Antiques · Vintage cameras and clocks · Toys and figures · Furniture · Tools · Glassware and ceramics · Jewelry · The box in the garage you've never opened HONEST LIMITS Condition often decides most of an item's value, and condition is hard to judge from a photo. Attic says when that's the case instead of pretending otherwise. For anything you think may be genuinely valuable, get it looked at in person. Attic is a starting point, not an appraisal. WHAT YOU PAY FOR Attic is a one-time purchase. Buy it once and you keep the app, unlimited identifications, and your attic — no subscription, no renewals, no scan credits to top up. WHERE YOUR PHOTOS LIVE Every photo you save goes to private cloud storage that only your account can open. Cloud space counts items, not photos: all of an item's photos take one place. Your first 50 items are free; the unlock includes 300. Once you've unlocked, you can add room for 500 or 1,000 more items — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. If a photo doesn't finish uploading, Attic sends it the next time you open your attic. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional. Sign in, and when you reinstall or move to a new phone, sign in with the same account: your collection and its backed-up photos come back. Without signing in, your collection is tied to this phone, so deleting the app loses it. You can sign in any time in Settings. Remove an item and its photos are deleted from the cloud. Delete your account in Settings, and your collection and its photos are deleted with it. Fair use: up to 1,000 identifications a year, which is far beyond what any collection needs.
