Venezia: Days Together

Venezia counts the days you have been together, and reminds you before each anniversary. That is the whole app. No accounts. No partner pairing. No photos, journals or timelines. No streaks, no badges, no confetti. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. No analytics. Venezia never makes a network call — everything stays on your device, because there is nowhere else for it to go. THE COUNTER One number, the whole screen. Drag it up or down to move between days, years and months, weeks, or months — the number follows your thumb and snaps. Swipe sideways for four ways of reading the same fact: centred, rounded, editorial, and the precise count down to the second. Both choices are remembered. COLOUR Six flat colours: paper, anthracite, red, green, yellow, stone. One at a time, across every screen. No gradients, no photographs, no decoration. REMINDERS Choose once, in Settings: a week before, the day before, on the day. Two or three notices, then silence. Venezia sends nothing else — no re-engagement prompts, no "we miss you", no tips. WIDGETS Home Screen small and medium. Lock Screen circular, inline and rectangular. The circular one is a single number inside a ring that closes as the date approaches, complete on the day itself. Long-press any widget to choose which date it counts from and which colour it wears — every widget can differ, or follow the app. MORE THAN ONE DATE The day it began is the number on your Home Screen. Add the others — a first date, the day you moved in, the day you got engaged — each repeating yearly, half-yearly, quarterly, monthly, or not at all. BUILT TO BE FINISHED Venezia is designed the way Dieter Rams designed radios: if a feature can be removed without breaking the promise, it is removed. Know the length, never miss the date. Everything else was left out on purpose, and is not coming in version two.
