Fixed: a film dated January 1 could be given the year before, and that wrong year could get in the way of finding its Apple TV listing. Films now come in with the right year. In case you missed it: Settings now has a More from How to Movie section, with our new family game night app, Movie Night, alongside How to Movie, Movie Canvas and How to TV.

About
Never overpay for a movie again. Deal Hunter watches the Apple TV buy and rent prices of the movies you actually want, and tells you the moment one drops to your price. No more checking by hand, no more finding out a film was $4.99 last week. BRING IN THE FILMS YOU CARE ABOUT Connect your TMDb account and Deal Hunter imports the movies you rated highly and the films sitting on your watchlist. No account? Search the full movie catalog and add anything you like, and Deal Hunter starts watching its price straight away. IT KNOWS A SALE FROM AN ALL-TIME LOW Every film keeps its own price history, so Deal Hunter can tell you the difference between "this is on sale" and "this is the cheapest it has ever been." Each movie has a price chart and a rent-versus-buy view, so you can see whether today's price is genuinely a deal. SET YOUR PRICE, FOR EVERYTHING OR FILM BY FILM Pick the price that makes you buy. Set one for your whole library, or a different one for that single film you'd only grab at $4.99. IT CHECKS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO Prices refresh quietly in the background, including a sweep for Apple's Tuesday new-release deals. Widgets on your Home Screen and Lock Screen keep your live deals one glance away. SALE WATCH, FOR THE BLACK FRIDAY STRETCH From the Friday a week before Black Friday through the Tuesday after Cyber Monday, Deal Hunter runs its full price check every day instead of only on Tuesdays. Sale Watch lists every price move on your films, day by day, with each record low flagged. SEE WHAT WAITING SAVED YOU Log what you buy or rent, and Deal Hunter keeps a running total of what you saved against each film's regular price. The Savings widget puts that total on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. A LIBRARY THAT REMEMBERS Mark films as owned and back your purchases up to a private list in your own TMDb account, so your library survives a new phone or a reinstall. WHAT'S INSIDE • Buy and rent price tracking for every film you're watching • "Lowest ever" alerts, not just "on sale" • Per-film price targets • Price history charts, and a 14-day price-drop feed • Import from your TMDb ratings and watchlist, or search the whole catalog • Background checks plus Apple's Tuesday sale sweep • Sale Watch: daily checks through the Black Friday stretch • A running total of what you've saved • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for your live deals and your savings • US and Canada Apple TV storefronts Private by design. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your list and your price history live on your device. Deal Hunter is not affiliated with Apple. Prices come from Apple's public iTunes Search API and can change at any time, so always check the price in the Apple TV app before buying. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
