What's New in 1.29: Push alerts when laws are signed You can now turn on Electoral alerts on the Register tab. MyRepresent sends a push notification when a governor or the President signs legislation into law that matters for your state—including federal bills that affect everyone. No account required. We only use your state or ZIP to pick relevant alerts. You can turn notifications off anytime in the app or in iOS Settings. Tap the notification → full alert in the app Tapping a push opens MyRepresent directly to the enactment alert screen—the same full tile you see in the app, not a stripped-down summary. Every alert includes: • Lay Explain — a neutral, plain-language breakdown: what the bill was about, what changed now that it’s law, and how it may affect you • Read official bill text — link to the government bill page • Signing announcement — link to the governor’s or White House signing notice • Dismiss — hide this alert • Dismiss All — skip remaining alerts and jump to Match We don’t editorialize. Alerts describe what happened and point you to official sources so you can read more yourself.
