Acrely: GPS Field Area Measure

About

Measure any piece of land from your phone. Drop corners on satellite imagery and the acreage appears while you work, corner by corner. No account, no sign-up, and the measuring itself is free. FOUR WAYS TO MEASURE • Field: move the map under the crosshair and drop one corner at a time. Far more precise than tapping with a thumb. • Distance: fence runs, driveways, irrigation line, road frontage. • Circle: centre and radius, for pivots, sprinkler throw and spray buffers. • Marker: pin a gate, a well, a washout, a soil sample. MEASURE GROUND YOU ARE NOT STANDING ON Search an address, a town or raw coordinates and the map goes there. Quote a job two counties over, check a listing before you drive out, price a parcel you have never set foot on. EVERY MEASUREMENT ON ONE MAP Most apps let you keep one shape at a time. Acrely draws all of your ground together, each field in its own colour, with the total area at the top of the list. THE NUMBER YOU CAME FOR Acres, hectares, square feet, square metres, square yards, square miles. Perimeter in feet, metres or yards, with the length written on every single side, the figure the fencing, decking and turf trades are actually after. WORK OUT WHAT TO BUY Grass seed, fertiliser, lime, spray, sod, mulch, topsoil, gravel, concrete, sand, fence wire and posts. Enter your rate and your price, add a waste allowance, and get the quantity to order and what it comes to. BRING YOUR FIELDS WITH YOU Import KML, GeoJSON and GPX from whatever you are using now. Nothing to redraw, nothing left behind. TAKE THEM ANYWHERE Export to KML, GeoJSON, CSV and GPX, or produce a one-page PDF report with the boundary drawn on satellite imagery, the thing you attach to a quote. SPLIT AND COMBINE Cut a field in two with a straight line: half to corn, half to beans, or the back forty being sold off. Combine adjacent plots into a single total. HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY Area is computed on the globe, not on the flat map, so it stays correct at any latitude. Corners you place on satellite imagery are as sharp as the imagery itself, which beats a GPS fix taken under trees or beside a building. It is a working tool, not a legal survey. WORKS WHERE THE GROUND IS Everything you have measured stays on the phone and opens without a connection. Nothing is uploaded, and there is nothing to log in to. MADE FOR Farmers and growers, ranchers, landowners, land buyers and agents, landscapers and lawn care, fencing, roofing and paving contractors, foresters, hunters, solar and utility crews, and anyone who has stood at a gate wondering how big that is. FREE AND PRO Measuring is free and stays free: every mode, every unit, the live readout, and your first two saved measurements. Acrely Pro keeps the work: unlimited saved measurements, export in every format, the materials and cost calculator, and photos on any measurement. Acrely Pro is $69.99 per year or $14.99 per month.
