About
Four boards in one app, for children who want to draw, colour, and learn to write. THE CHALKBOARD Chalk on slate. Ten sticks of coloured chalk in the tray and a felt duster to wipe them away. The line is dusty and broken at the edges, the way real chalk goes down on a real board. THE LIGHT BOARD The blue writing panel that replaced the chalkboard in classrooms. Bright neon strokes bloom into the dark screen, drawn with glowing markers. THE COLOURING BOOK A sheet of paper and a case of twelve sharpened colouring pencils. Pigment catches on the tooth of the paper and builds up where you go over the same patch twice, exactly like the real thing. There is a pink rubber for second thoughts. THE NOTEBOOK A school exercise book, ruled single, two, three, or four line. Tracing pages print capital letters, small letters, and numbers faintly on the page for a child to draw over. They are sized properly, so tall letters reach the top line and tails drop below the baseline, which is the whole point of four line paper. PICTURES TO COLOUR Fourteen outlines to fill in: a superhero, a robot, a dinosaur, a unicorn, an astronaut, and a race car, plus a cat, a house, a rocket, a fish, a flower, a butterfly, an ice cream, and a sailboat. Each outline sits on its own layer, so rubbing out your colouring never rubs out the picture. BRING YOUR OWN PICTURES Add a PDF, PNG, or JPEG from Files, or any picture from Photos, and it becomes a colouring page. Your own pictures work on the chalkboard, the light board, and the colouring book. MADE FOR SMALL HANDS Every control is big, and nothing depends on being able to read. Wiping the board asks first, and it is the only thing in the app that cannot be undone. Each board keeps its own drawing, so switching between them never loses anyone's work. APPLE PENCIL Press harder for a thicker line, tilt the pencil to broaden it, and double tap the barrel to switch to the eraser. FOR PARENTS No ads. No accounts. No in-app purchases. Nothing to buy, and nothing to sign up for. The app has no networking of any kind, so nothing is collected and nothing leaves the device. It works entirely offline, on a plane or anywhere else. Drawings are saved on the device, and you can share or save any of them as a picture whenever you want to keep one. For iPhone and iPad, portrait or landscape.
