BookBloom - Personal Library

About

BloomReads is a bookshelf you build yourself, and then fill with the books you actually read. Choose the wallpaper, the wood, and what stands in the corners. Photograph the spine of your own copy so the shelf is made of your books, not of catalog art. Then sort the whole thing by color and watch it land. THE SHELF • 43 walls, 26 plain colours • 24 shelf woods and materials • 20 saved wall-and-wood pairings • 22 things to stand on the shelves • 14 strings and garlands along the edge • Sort by colour, by thickness, A–Z by title or author or let it surprise you MADE FROM YOUR ACTUAL BOOKS Point the camera at a book you own and photograph the surface you want on the shelf the spine, the front cover, or the page edges, so sprayed edges show up as themselves. There is a proper capture screen for it, with a guide frame and a torch, because a spine is almost always in its own shadow. What lands on your shelf is your copy, not a stock image of it. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A shelf from any of your libraries, as a widget. Plus your streak, the book you are on, your challenge for the year, and a line about reading that changes each day. PUTTING BOOKS ON IT • Scan the barcode on the back cover for the right edition, cover and page count • Search by title or author, or add anything by hand nothing has to be in a catalog • Bring your old library over from Goodreads: ratings and finish dates come with it • Collections for anything TBR, favorites, a series, books you lent out AND IT KEEPS COUNT • A reading timer that picks up where you left off • Block distractions: the apps you choose are held back until the session ends • Forgot the timer? Tap "I read today" and log the pages after • A daily goal you set yourself, a streak for every day you hit it, and a challenge for the year • Reminders at the times you pick, or none at all WHAT YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF Pages, hours, books finished, pages per day. Which days and which hours you really read. Your taste, laid out genres, decades, book lengths, languages, most-read authors. And your ratings: the average, the spread, the ones you loved most. PRIVATE, WITH NO ACCOUNT There is no sign-in and no account. Every book, photo, session, note and rating stays on your iPhone none of it is uploaded, and there is no feed to perform for. Backup & Restore saves a file that you keep. Your shelves, your logging and all your stats work with no connection at all.
