The gasket you need has been out of production for thirty years, or the one in your hand tore in half when you pulled the cover. GasketTrace turns a photo of what's left into a full-size, printable cutting template — even when a piece is missing. REBUILD THE PART THAT'S TORN AWAY This is what sets GasketTrace apart: mark the missing stretch and rebuild it — mirrored left to right, top to bottom, about an axis you choose, or as a smooth curve joining the two broken ends. Reconstructed sections are drawn in a different colour and stay flagged as estimated, in the app and in the exported file. Nothing is filled in without you approving it first. FIND EVERY HOLE, KEEP ITS POSITION The outline, inner openings and bolt holes are traced automatically and separated from one another. Every hole keeps its centre and diameter, so you can check hole spacing against the real part before you cut anything. PRINT AT TRUE SIZE — AND CHECK IT YOURSELF Print the calibration mat that comes with the app, lay the old gasket on it, and photograph it with the four corner markers in frame. GasketTrace straightens the perspective and works out the real-world scale from the markers. Export a PDF at 100% size on A4 or US Letter; shapes bigger than one sheet tile across several pages with overlap and alignment marks. Every sheet carries a 100 mm and 4 inch check ruler — measure it with a real ruler and you know immediately whether your printer scaled the page. GasketTrace does not claim a fixed accuracy figure; this check ruler is how you confirm the result yourself, every time. OR SEND IT TO A MACHINE Export SVG in millimetres for Cricut, Silhouette, a laser cutter, Illustrator, Inkscape or CAD. Outer edge, inner edges and holes come out as closed paths. EDIT ANYTHING Move, add or delete points. Convert a run of points into a straight line or an arc. Add a hole the camera missed, or delete a shadow it mistook for one. Without the mat, GasketTrace cannot calculate true size.
