Disposition shows you what a state's code actually says about the animal in your trap — word for word, with the citation, the effective date, and the day the text was retrieved from the agency's own site. It is a citation retriever, not an adviser. It quotes. It does not tell you what to do. COVERAGE IS PARTIAL, ON PURPOSE This release covers 17 states: Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. A state that is not on that list is not covered — which says nothing about what its rules require. Colorado, New York and South Carolina are flagged PARTIAL inside the app, because some of their rules could not be retrieved. WHAT IT DOES • Pick a state and a species, get the governing rule verbatim • Relocation, holding time, trap-check interval, euthanasia method, reporting duties, seasonal closures and more — 126 rules across 31 species • Compare two states side by side, because the risk for an operator working a state line is assuming the state they know applies to the one they are standing in • See one species across every covered state at once • A duties screen for the obligations that cost licences even when every disposition was correct • Arithmetic on holding deadlines, always shown next to the provision the number came from • Works entirely offline — no signal needed in an attic or a crawlspace WHAT IT WILL NOT DO • It will not tell you what to do with an animal • It will not infer a rule that is not written down. Where the code is silent it says so and names the agency to call • It will not quote text it cannot find in a stored copy of the primary source HOW THE TEXT IS CHECKED Every quoted line is verified against a stored copy of the primary source before each release. A quote that is not present in its source cannot ship — that is enforced by the build, not by good intentions. The Sources screen lists every document the app reads, when it was retrieved, and a fingerprint of the text that was read. NOT LEGAL ADVICE This app reproduces and cites rule text. Rules change, and a corpus goes stale. Verify with your state agency before you act, and read the rule text rather than only the summary.
