About
Plane Radar brings the airspace around you to life through a classic radar-inspired display. Live ADS-B data is presented on a circular radar scope with range rings, bearing markers, aircraft targets, and an optional sweeping beam. Quickly see what is flying nearby, tap any aircraft for more information, or adjust the radar to explore another location. KEY FEATURES • View nearby aircraft using live ADS-B data • Explore an interactive radar with an adjustable range • Set nearby aircraft alerts by distance, altitude, and aircraft type, with sound and vibration notifications • Switch to Classic Radar mode for a traditional sweeping radar display • Center the radar on your location or enter coordinates manually • Display standard, satellite, or hybrid map overlays • Filter aircraft by model, identifier, country, altitude, speed, and type • View callsign, registration, aircraft model, airline, route, altitude, speed, heading, distance, and more when available • Access live aircraft data through community ADS-B APIs, or connect to a compatible local receiver running dump1090 or readsb. HOW IT WORKS Many aircraft broadcast their identity, position, altitude, speed, and heading using ADS-B. Ground-based receiver networks collect these signals and make the reports available through live data feeds. Plane Radar retrieves available aircraft reports around your selected radar center, calculates each aircraft’s distance and bearing, and plots it on a traditional radar-style display. Whether you are an aviation enthusiast, plane spotter, ADS-B receiver owner, or simply curious about what is flying overhead, Plane Radar offers a clear and engaging way to explore nearby air traffic—with the familiar look and feel of a traditional radar screen.
