Coral Gardens is a meditative underwater game about hope, patience, and the slow miracle of reef restoration. You play as a scuba diver drifting above the seafloor, gathering tiny coral polyps and planting them across a nursery wire grid. Step back and watch your coral garden grow into a vibrant living cathedral over the next hundred years. The game is inspired by real marine conservation efforts around the world. Coral reefs cover less than one percent of the ocean floor, yet they shelter a quarter of all marine species. Warming seas, pollution, and overfishing have put these fragile ecosystems in danger. Why we made it We made Coral Gardens after reading about coral nursery projects and restoration divers who spend their days replanting broken coral onto dying reefs. We wanted to capture that feeling of patient, hopeful work, the kind where progress is measured in years and generations, not points and stars. The game is our love letter to the ocean and to everyone working quietly to keep it alive.
