FamilyCountdown

About

FamilyCountdown turns your iPad into an old-school split-flap departure board — the kind you'd see in a train station — counting down to the moments your family cares about. Add the events that matter: birthdays, a big trip, a retirement, an anniversary. Each one gets its own row with mechanical flip digits ticking down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds. US holidays (New Year's, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) are added automatically, so the board always has something on it. When an event's day finally arrives, its countdown flips to a bold red ARRIVED for the whole day, then quietly steps aside. Birthdays and other yearly events roll forward to next year on their own. FEATURES • Authentic split-flap animation — two-leaf mechanical flip with the classic bounce, staggered across each digit group • Landscape board that fits as many events as your screen allows — no scrolling • Pin the events you always want on top • Repeating events (birthdays, anniversaries) roll to next year automatically • US holidays added for you • Set the time zone that drives each day's rollover, or follow your device • Shift saved event times between time zones in one step • Everything is stored on your device — no account, no sign-in, no server Great as an always-on family display on a stand or mounted iPad.
