Ocean Ride - Ocean County Transportation Ocean ride provides safe, affordable, and accessible transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities. Administered by the Ocean County Transportation Department, we are committed to a sustainable, shared ride system for residents. Door-to-door, non-emergency trips for eligible residents (60+ seniors or adults with disabilities). Vehicles are wheelchair lift equipped. Schedule 2–4 weeks ahead. Stand-By Trip: Short-notice trips (day-before or up to 1 week). Not guaranteed. Standing Order: 3+ trips/week to the same medical facility. Up to 6-week durations. Veteran’s Transportation Program – FREE for Ocean County Veterans. In-County VA Clinics: Call Ocean Ride at (732) 736-8989, Press 1, up to 4 weeks ahead. Out-of-County VA Clinics: Call Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau at (732) 929-2096, ideally 2 weeks in advance. Fares (Round-Trip): Advance Reservation & Stand-By: $6 ($3 with PAAD discount*) Standing Order: $6 ($3 with PAAD discount*) Payments by check/money order to Ocean County Transportation Services, P.O.
