About
Did You Dream? is a dream journal built with Rachael Chatham, LCMHC, a depth psychotherapist who has worked with dreams for twenty years. Record a dream the moment you wake, then work with it the way you might in her office: slowly, with good questions, and without anyone telling you what it means. A dream dictionary says a snake means betrayal. This app asks what the snake was doing, how you felt when you saw it, and what it reminds you of. The approach comes from Carl Jung, and it starts from your own associations rather than a list of fixed meanings. CATCH IT BEFORE IT FADES Open the app and talk. Your words become text on your phone. If you close the app halfway through, the draft is waiting when you come back. FOUR WAYS TO WORK WITH A DREAM Analyze: a conversation about the images, feelings, and symbols in the dream. You lead with your own associations. Active Imagination: go back into the dream and speak with one of its figures. You speak for the figure. The app keeps the practice on track. Find a Ritual: one small act that carries the dream into your day. Rework a Nightmare: return to the dream with allies and resources, and change how it ends. If you are not ready for that, the app helps you settle instead. A SYMBOL LIBRARY Browse by theme or search by word. Each entry describes how the image has been understood in depth psychology and gives you a question to sit with. Many come with a painting or sculpture. The app also notices which symbols keep showing up in your own dreams and builds your personal library from them. YOUR DREAMS STAY YOURS No account and no sign-in. Dreams live on your phone and in your private iCloud. We cannot read them. When you ask for dream work, the text of that dream is sent to generate a reply and is not stored by us. Your first name, if you choose to give it, is the only other thing sent. FREE TO BEGIN One dream analysis a week, voice capture, the journal, and the full symbol library are free. Dream Plus adds unlimited analysis and all four practices for $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Did You Dream? is for reflection and learning. It is not therapy or medical care and does not diagnose or treat anything. Rachael Chatham designed the approach and reviewed the content, but she does not see, respond to, or treat anyone through the app. Its replies come from an AI following her framework, not from her, and using the app does not make you her client. If you are in distress, the app will point you to real help.
