Now for journeyman candidates in every state, not only Texas. Pick your state and the app shows which NEC edition it uses. The questions are written to the 2026 NEC; if your state is on an earlier edition, the app says so before you buy. Texas keeps everything it had: the TDLR pass rate, the 24-item projection and the PSI topic weights. Several solutions were corrected after a full re-check of the question bank.

About
Calculations are the part of the journeyman electrician exam that people fail. This app is only calculations: 189 questions, each worked step by step, each naming the NEC article to look up. WRITTEN TO THE 2026 NEC Every question uses the 2026 edition. As of October 2026, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming enforce the 2026 NEC, and Washington moves to it on December 31, 2026. Many states still use the 2023 or 2020 edition, and 2026 changed more than article numbers: Article 220 became Article 120, the dwelling unit load went from 3 to 2 VA per square foot, and the optional-method first tier changed. If your state is on an earlier edition, some answers here will differ from your exam. Pick your state when you open the app and it shows which edition your state uses. Your exam bulletin is the final word, and you can set the edition by hand. START WITH A FREE CHECK Twelve questions, no sign-up, nothing to create. You get a per-topic breakdown, so you know which topics are costing you points instead of guessing. WORKED SOLUTIONS, NOT JUST LETTERS Every question shows the calculation step by step and names the NEC article to look up. No answer is ever presented as a bare letter. TEN CALCULATION TOPICS Services, branch circuits and conductors, feeders, motors and generators, special occupancies (RV parks, marinas, mobile home parks), equipment, wiring methods, control and disconnecting, EV and PV, and AC theory. TAKING THE TEXAS EXAM? Choose Texas and the app adds the TDLR numbers: a 20.56% pass rate on the Journeyman Calculations section in FY2025 (1,301 of 6,328), and a projection of where your check lands on the 24 scored items. Topics are ordered by the PSI Texas blueprint. BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY STUDY - Works completely offline. Study in the truck, on site, or in the test-centre car park. - No account and no login. - iPhone and iPad. - Missed questions are grouped by code article so you can see the pattern. THE CODE BOOK This app does not contain the NEC and does not reproduce its tables. Solutions cite the article and show the arithmetic. You bring your own code book, which is what you are allowed in the exam room anyway. PRO UNLOCK The 12-question check and the first 30 practice questions are free. A one-time purchase unlocks the rest of the question bank. No subscription. Not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA, PSI, TDLR, or any state licensing board. The Texas pass rate quoted above is published by TDLR and describes the exam itself, not this app.
