About
The Calculations section is the one that fails people. TDLR reported a 20.56% pass rate for FY2025 — 1,301 of 6,328. The statewide first-attempt average is 13.15 of 24 scored items, and passing takes about 16.8. That is a gap of roughly 3.65 items. This app is built around closing that gap. START WITH A FREE CHECK Twelve questions, no sign-up, nothing to create. You get a per-topic breakdown and a projection of where you would land on the 24 scored items — so you know which topics are actually costing you the exam rather than guessing. WEIGHTED THE WAY THE EXAM IS WEIGHTED Questions are grouped into the topic buckets the official blueprint uses, and the app shows you which ones carry the most scored items — sixteen of the 24 come from just five buckets. The check tells you where you stand in each. WORKED SOLUTIONS, NOT JUST LETTERS Every question shows the calculation step by step and names the NEC article to look up. No answer is ever presented as a bare letter. REFERENCED TO THE 2026 NEC, NOT A RENAMED 2023 BANK The 2026 edition restructured the code: Article 220 became Article 120 and moved to Chapter 1, and the RV park, marina and mobile home park load calculations moved in with it. Two values changed as well, not just their numbers — the dwelling unit load and the optional-method first tier. Every article cited here was checked against the 2026 book, and questions turn on the current values. 189 questions covering all ten scored topics. BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY STUDY - Works completely offline. Study in the truck, on site, or in the test-centre car park. - No account, no login, no tracking. - iPhone and iPad. - Missed questions are grouped by code article so you can see the pattern. THE CODE BOOK This app does not contain the NEC and does not reproduce its tables. Solutions cite the article and show the arithmetic — you bring your own code book, which is what you are allowed in the exam room anyway. PRO UNLOCK The 12-question check and the first 30 practice questions are free. A one-time purchase unlocks the rest of the question bank. No subscription. Not affiliated with or endorsed by TDLR, PSI, or NFPA. The pass rate and topic averages quoted above are published by TDLR and describe the exam itself, not this app.
