Piano Technician Service Log keeps tuning and service history organized around the instrument, so the record of what was done to this piano follows the piano — not a customer folder that gets harder to search as a household grows. ORGANIZED BY INSTRUMENT Each instrument you service is its own record: make, model, year, location and type (grand or upright), identified by a device-generated ID. A serial number can be added when you have one, but it's optional — serials repeat, wear off, or go missing, so history stays organized by instrument on this device either way. SEE THE DELTA THE MOMENT YOU ARRIVE Open an instrument's history and the app surfaces a delta card: pitch found versus pitch left at the last visit, months since that visit, and any recommendation still marked open. Reference pitch (for example A=440.0 Hz) is stored with every tuning measurement. A cents deviation is only shown when two visits share the same reference pitch — otherwise the app normalizes to Hz or tells you plainly that the two readings aren't directly comparable, so you're never shown a misleading number. A FULL RECORD OF THE VISIT Log tuning, pitch raise, regulation, voicing and repair work, with duration and a fee note. Record parts replaced, temperature and humidity as observed, and partial tunings — a visit doesn't have to touch every string to be logged, and more than one visit in a day is no problem. Recommendations you leave open follow the instrument until they're marked done. RECENT VISITS, NOT A CALENDAR The app opens on Recent Visits — there is no appointment or scheduling system here; that stays in whatever calendar you already use. This app is purely the record of service already performed. A SERVICE REPORT PDF Export a "Service Report" PDF, sized for US Letter, listing the instrument's identity, what was performed, pitch found/left, parts replaced, environment readings, open recommendations and the technician's name — ready to leave with a customer or file for your own records. NO TUNING DEVICE INSIDE Piano Technician Service Log contains no tuning device and does no microphone-based pitch analysis. Every pitch, cents value, and measurement in the app is entered by the technician from their own equipment and judgment. TRIAL AND UNLOCK The app is free to download, and every feature is available for a 7-day (168-hour) trial starting at first launch. After the trial, logging new visits is locked while your existing instrument histories remain viewable and exportable as PDF. The paywall — showing the price and a Restore Purchases button — is reachable at any time from Settings, during or after the trial. Purchasing the one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks the app permanently. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account is required. Piano Technician Service Log works fully offline: instruments, visits, tuning records and photos stay on your device and are never sent to a server. Settings includes a backup feature that exports all records as a single ZIP file — keep a copy somewhere safe in case you change devices.
