SplitBills is a lightweight, privacy-first way for roommates to split shared household costs — electricity, gas, internet, water, rent, and anything else you split as a household. WHY SPLITBILLS • No account to create beyond Sign in with Apple — no email, no password, no phone number. • No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs of any kind. Zero. • Your data lives in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), shared only with the roommates you invite. There is no SplitBills server — we couldn't see your data if we wanted to. SPLIT YOUR WAY • Equal split, custom percentages, fixed amounts, or weighted by room size — pick whatever's fair for your household. • Attach a photo of the receipt or invoice straight from your camera or photo library. • Mark bills as recurring and SplitBills drafts next month's occurrence for you to confirm. SETTLE UP WITHOUT THE MATH • See exactly who owes what, in real time. • A built-in debt-simplification algorithm collapses a tangle of IOUs into the fewest possible payments — no more "I'll pay Alex, Alex pays Sam, Sam pays me." • Mark payments as paid (full or partial) once you've settled outside the app — SplitBills never touches your money directly. INVITE ROOMMATES IN SECONDS • Create a household and get a short invite code — no contact picker, no link to send. Your roommate downloads SplitBills, taps "Join a Household," types the code, and they're in. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Face ID/Touch ID app lock, optional. • Full control over your data: leave a household at any time (your name is anonymized so everyone else's balance stays correct), or — if you created it — permanently delete the whole household. • A real, plain-language privacy policy screen, right in the app. Available in English, German, and Farsi (with right-to-left layout support).
