About
Kyoru is a very simple daily challenge: a selfie and a walk. Each day you take a selfie and the app measures what percentage of the photo is you —your face and your body— versus the rest of the world. The next day it suggests a 30-minute walk: stroll, think about your things, look at places you like and others you don't know yet. When you get back, another selfie, and it measures again. Over time, Kyoru charts your progress. The idea is simple: when you open up to the world and discover what you enjoy, you stop being the center of the frame and start letting in more of what surrounds you. Kyoru measures exactly that. EVERYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE Each photo is analyzed on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework. Photos and their data are stored locally. There is no server, no account and nothing is uploaded anywhere. WHAT YOU'LL FIND • Today's challenge: the day's prompt and the selfie capture, with the result (% me / % world) and the comparison with the previous day. • Progress: a chart of how much you take up over time, and the history of all your walks. • Minimalist black-and-white interface, built on SF Symbols. Kyoru is not a social network or a like counter. It's a calm way to look outward for a while each day.
