About

Every trip has a story hiding just off the beaten path. Fabulist turns your travels into a scavenger hunt for the odd, the overlooked, and the quietly remarkable — the world's largest ball of twine, a crumbling ghost town, a diner with a legend attached to it, a monument nobody put on the postcards. Thousands of places come pre-loaded so the map is never empty, even off the grid, topped up live from Wikipedia wherever you have a signal — so it's never a fixed list. How it works: • The Radar — a map centered on wherever you are, surfacing nearby oddities in real time as you explore. Search any place by name or address, or browse by theme ("ghost town," "roadside attraction," you name it). • The Passport — stamp the places you've actually been. Each one gets a numbered stamp, a spot for your own photo, and space for your own notes — a travel journal that fills in as you go. • The Intrigued list — save anything that catches your eye for later, without committing it to your passport yet. • Postcards — turn any stop into a shareable, vintage-styled postcard for the group chat. No account. No ads. No subscription. Fabulist doesn't run a server and doesn't collect your data — it's just you, wherever you've wandered, and Wikipedia's endless supply of strange true stories.
