Mimic is a private pronunciation studio for people learning American English. It turns speech into something you can see, compare, and improve—without an account and without sending recordings to a cloud scoring service. SEE HOW A SOUND IS MADE Every exercise includes a synchronized Articulation Mirror. Follow animated front and side views of the lips, teeth, jaw, palate, tongue, airflow, and voicing while the reference plays. COMPARE YOUR OWN TAKE Record a phrase and review your pitch, rhythm, timing, and delivery beside the reference. Mimic also creates a conservative, voice-estimated mouth movement replay with an evidence-weighted accuracy score. The app clearly labels what a microphone can and cannot infer: hidden tongue anatomy is never presented as directly observed. PRACTICE WHAT MATTERS TO YOU Choose your first-language background and work through focused sound contrasts, word stress, connected speech, and practical phrases. A daily plan and spaced review help difficult sounds return at the right time.
