StarPDF is your private PDF toolkit — entirely on device. No account, no cloud, no tracking. Your documents never leave your iPhone or iPad. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH STARPDF • Scan documents with automatic edge detection and perspective correction, then save as PDF. • Create searchable PDFs with text recognition (OCR) — fully offline, on device, with German/English language choice. • Scan IDs & cards: national ID, passport, driver's license, insurance and business cards at true size on A4 — front and back neatly on one page. • Read QR codes and barcodes: fast and on-device, with the right action for links, email and phone (QR, Aztec, PDF417, DataMatrix, EAN, Code 128 and more). • Organize pages: reorder, rotate, delete, merge. • Convert images to PDF and export PDF pages as PNG/JPEG. • Fill in forms: text fields, checkboxes and choice fields. • Sign by hand: draw with your finger or Apple Pencil, or import a photo/scan of your signature, cut it out and reuse it. • Redact securely: content is permanently removed through a verified export pipeline — not just black bars. • Clean metadata: strip title, author and other sensitive fields before sharing. • A tidy dashboard: quick actions and recently scanned documents at a glance; the built-in library searches file names only — no unrelated matches. PRIVACY FIRST StarPDF collects no data. There are no servers, no user accounts, no analytics and no proprietary cloud sync. All processing — scanning, OCR, editing, signing — happens locally. Saved signatures are encrypted and can optionally be protected with Face ID / Touch ID. ABOUT SIGNING The signing feature creates a handwritten (visual) signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and does not constitute a legally binding identity verification. Your documents are yours. StarPDF keeps it that way.
