About
Rock Identifier: name any stone from a single photo. Point your camera at a rock and get an answer in seconds - the name, plus the details that prove it. RockVista compares your photo against a curated library of rocks, minerals, crystals and gemstones, then builds a full profile: hardness, how it formed, where it occurs, and what people use it for. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - One clear answer, not a wall of maybe-options - Field photos in the training data, not studio shots - Reads offline, so it works where the rocks are - Igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, minerals and crystals EVERY IDENTIFICATION INCLUDES - Mohs hardness, streak, luster and cleavage - The formation story: how and where it came to be - Common uses, from construction to jewellery - GPS location record, pinned to your own map - A personal collection you can save, sort and revisit - A clean share card you can send in one tap - A built-in geology reference for browsing offline BUILT FOR - Rockhounds, mineral collectors and gem hunters - Geology students and teachers - Hikers, campers and beachcombers - Anyone who has picked up a stone and wondered HOW IT WORKS 1. Take a photo, or choose one from your library 2. The AI reads shape, texture, colour and grain 3. You get the name and the full profile 4. Save it to your collection, or share it FREE TO TRY Every account gets free identifications each day. Pro removes the daily limit and all ads. RockVista is an identification aid, not a laboratory analysis. For gemstone valuation or any safety-critical decision, confirm with a qualified geologist.
