Flyt is a private voice journal that lets you speak first and shape the writing later. Most journaling apps still begin with a blank page and a keyboard. Flyt begins with your voice. Tap record, say what happened, and your iPhone turns the moment into a journal entry you can keep, search and come back to. Everything happens on the device. Your speech is turned into text by a model running on your iPhone, not on someone's server. There is no account, no sign-in and no cloud. Your entries, transcripts and recordings stay on your phone. LANGUAGE SUPPORT Flyt currently transcribes speech in English and 24 other European languages. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other languages are not yet supported. HOW IT WORKS • Record first. Speak the way you actually think, instead of typing into a small box. • On-device transcription. Speech becomes text locally, so it works in airplane mode, on a train, or with no signal at all. • Keep the original. Every entry starts from the raw transcript of what you really said. • Improve when you want. An optional writing model, downloaded once and run locally, gently fixes punctuation and grammar. It does not summarise you, analyse you or reply to you. • Replay the moment. Keep the audio with an entry and listen back with the text highlighting along as it plays. • Find it again. Search across everything you have recorded. • On this day. See what you said on this date in previous years. • Lock it. Protect the app with Face ID. WHY FLYT IS DIFFERENT Almost every voice journal sends your recording to a server to be transcribed, then asks you to create an account so it can store it. Flyt does neither. The transcription model, the writing model and your entries all live on your iPhone. That changes what journaling feels like. You can say the thing you would not type into a cloud service. You can record on a flight with no connection. You never wonder where the audio went. A QUIET KIND OF AI The optional local writing model is deliberately small in ambition. It tidies punctuation, capitalisation and the stumbles of speech, and it keeps your meaning and your words. It never rewrites your day into a summary, never scores your mood and never talks back. The polished version sits beside the original, and the original is always there.
