New version 1.0 → 1.1

Version 1.1 is a focused redesign: Layerquarry now opens directly into a single, fast image-forensics workbench. About

Layerquarry turns a container image's layer history into a hands-on forensics lab, so you can see exactly where the megabytes live and what a single change forces you to rebuild. The workbench opens on a split view. The sidebar lists the image history instruction by instruction, with the megabytes each layer adds (layers that delete files are flagged in orange). The forensics pane keeps four metrics live — Stored, Hidden waste, Runtime target, and Rebuild — above a cumulative filesystem chart that plots stored bytes per layer against a hidden-waste line. In the Cache blast radius section, pick the first changed layer and watch the rebuild cost update instantly; the Remediation plan turns what the numbers show into concrete next steps. A realistic Swift release-build image history ships as the working example to explore. WHAT IT DOES • Layer-by-layer image history with per-instruction size • Hidden-waste accounting: bytes deleted in later layers that earlier layers still store • Cache blast radius: choose the changed layer, see how many MB of later layers rebuild • Multi-stage runtime estimate for a clean release image • Cumulative stored-bytes chart with a waste overlay • Rule-based remediation advice: same-layer deletes, multi-stage copies, dependency ordering PREMIUM BY DESIGN One-time purchase. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline.
