About
Ruta connects you with licensed taxi companies in Sarajevo — request a ride, watch your taxi arrive on the map, and pay the regulated meter fare in cash. HOW IT WORKS • Set your pickup and destination — search an address, drop a pin, or use a saved place like Home and Work. • See the estimated fare, distance, and time before you book. Estimates follow the official taxi meter tariff — Ruta does not set its own prices and there is no surge pricing. • A nearby licensed driver accepts your request. You see the driver's name, vehicle, and plate number, and you track the car live on the map. • Ride and pay the driver directly in cash at the regulated fare. Your trip history and fare records stay in the app. BUILT-IN SAFETY TOOLS • One-tap emergency call to 112 during any trip, with your driver and vehicle details on screen. • Share your live trip — driver, car, and destination — with someone you trust. MORE • Schedule a ride for later. • Rate every trip; chat with your driver in the app while they arrive. • Works in English and Bosnian. ABOUT RUTA Ruta is a technology platform used by licensed taxi companies. Transport services are provided by those licensed operators and their professional drivers — not by Ruta. Fares follow the officially regulated taxi tariff and are paid to the driver.
