New version 1.1.7 → 1.2.1

The map now covers all 19 departments in the country: we went from 96 to 169 places, including the first ones in Artigas, Flores and Florida, and many more across the rest of the country. Search got easier: it now finds places even if you skip the accents or misspell a letter or two. Typing "tres marias" brings up Carnicería Tres Marías. Every place shows how far it is from you, both on the map and in the list, if you have already granted location permission. You can also add missing gluten-free places to the map and suggest fixes from any place's page. We review them, and once approved they show up for the whole community with your name on them. And the home screen keeps itself up to date: pull down to refresh, or just come back to the app and you will see the new places.

About

Celimap is your gluten-free guide in Uruguay: an independent app built for the celiac community. Gluten-free map: restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops, with 100% gluten-free kitchens and reviews from the celiac community. Product scanner: scan the barcode or search by name and instantly see whether a product is safe. The verdict is based on the public list of suitable products published by ACELU (Asociacion Celiaca del Uruguay, the Celiac Association of Uruguay) and on community contributions, and works offline with a local snapshot so you can check at the shelf even without signal. Practical guides: newly diagnosed, cross-contamination, how to read labels, and eating out or traveling gluten-free. Meal ideas: gluten-free recipes with ingredients you can find locally, with step-by-step instructions and nutrition info. Every piece of content states where the information comes from (ACELU, the community, or AI analysis) so you know what to trust. SOURCES - ACELU - Asociacion Celiaca del Uruguay (a non-profit civil association): https://acelu.org - Contributions and reviews from the celiac community. Inside each guide, the Sources tab also links to that guide's original sources. NOTICE Celimap is an independent application. It is not a government site or service, it is not affiliated with any government entity, and it does not represent the Uruguayan State or any public agency. ACELU is a non-profit civil association; Celimap is not affiliated with ACELU and does not represent it, it only references its public list as a source. The information is for guidance only, does not replace advice from your doctor or nutritionist, and should be verified when in doubt.
