StubNest is receipt capture and filing for people who run more than one business. Snap a receipt at the register, import one from your photo library, or share it straight from another app. StubNest reads the vendor, date, total, tax, card, and every individual line item — then files it under the right company and the right expense category. The card you paid with is the primary signal, so most receipts file themselves without you choosing anything. CAPTURE IN ONE TAP The camera flow crops and de-skews the receipt and uploads it in a single tap. Uploads keep going in the background and survive a dropped connection, so you can put your phone away at the register and get on with your day. FORWARD BY EMAIL Every company gets its own private inbox address, and so do you. Forward an emailed receipt or invoice and it files itself — ideal for recurring subscriptions that never come on paper. AI READS EVERY LINE Vendor, purchase date, totals, tax, card last four, and individual line items are extracted automatically. Each line can carry its own expense type, so a single warehouse run can split across categories. Reading a receipt means sending it to Claude, an AI service from Anthropic. StubNest asks your permission first, shows you exactly what is sent and what never is, and lets you turn it off at any time. With it off, your receipts are still saved — they are simply held unread. A REVIEW INBOX, NOT A SHOEBOX Anything StubNest is unsure about — an unfamiliar card, an ambiguous vendor, a possible duplicate — lands in a review queue instead of being filed wrong. Confirm it with a tap. Get a push notification when something needs you, plus an optional daily email digest. BOOKS YOUR ACCOUNTANT TRUSTS Expense types are defined per company, so your accountant can maintain the chart you actually use. Invite them to a company and they can keep categories tidy without touching anything else. EVERYTHING STAYS IN SYNC StubNest on iPhone and iPad works from the same account as the web app at stubnest.com. Capture on your phone, review and export on your desktop. Requires a StubNest account. You can create one directly in the app, and delete your account and all of its data from Settings at any time.
