About
Tonight, one more treasure from the storehouse. Guzendo is a serendipity museum: it draws unexpected treasures from the millions of cultural artifacts published by museums, libraries, and archives across Japan. There is no search box — only tonight's theme word and the cards unearthed from the storehouse. - DIG: Guided by a random theme, artifact cards surface one after another. Flick right to collect, left to pass. Roll the dice (or shake your device) for a fresh theme. - READ THE STORY: Every artifact comes with a curator's description, plus accurate metadata — era, creator, holding institution, and official Creative Commons license badges. - CHAINS OF CURIOSITY: Below each artifact, lanes of related works by the same creator, subject, or era lead you ever deeper. Recently shown works are remembered, so there is always something new. - COLLECT: Keep your favorites on your own shelf. - AUDIO & VIDEO: Recordings and films play in the provider's own player; paintings and manuscripts open in a high-resolution zoom viewer. --- This app uses the Japan Search API operated by the National Diet Library. Japan Search and its partner institutions do not endorse this app. Rights to images and descriptions belong to the respective institutions. Images are fetched over the network; Wi-Fi is recommended.
