Landlines GIS draws flood zones and wetlands over the parcel map as soon as you open it, so you can tell how much of a lot is usable before you drive out. Tap a parcel for the county record: owner, last sale, acreage, and assessed values where the county publishes them. A coverage layer shows where parcel lines are available. IN THE FIELD Your position shows with its GPS accuracy halo, and a chip tells you when you are within that margin of a parcel edge. Measure distance and area, search by address, drop pins, and save an area's parcel data for when the signal runs out. Parcel lines and GPS position are approximate and come from public records. Use them to screen and plan; a licensed surveyor sets the legal boundary.
